Look What the Wind Blew In!!

Oh my.  I know it’s hard to see this little thing, but she literally blew into the store, found the most cobwebbed part of the store and hunkered down.  I think she is a she…….  She is in hiding during the day but is doing her kitty duty and exploring at night.  One of these days I hope she will make a full appearance.  I think she is the new store kitty.  Any ideas for names??????

What Fun We Had!

   Ok, it was a bit chilly for sure, but we sure had a great week of activities at Petunia’s Second Annual Funky Fall Flea Market weekend.

We kicked it off with a demonstration by Tom Brandt on a fall centerpiece.

The centerpiece was a thing of beauty that Petunia’s shoppers over the weekend got to appreciate!  And many of us now know that brussel sprouts grow on large stalks!  Amazing.

Funky Fall Flea Market Next Weekend!

It's that time of year again!

Please come visit us next weekend for our second annual Funky Fall Flea Market.  NEW this year:  Stylist guru Tom Brandt will be on hand to help you put together a fall centerpiece for your home.  That happens on Thursday the 22nd. 

Our Flea Market will be held on Saturday in the back of Petunia’s building in a nice bright heated space! (no scary tents or rain or snow to worry about!!)   Look for the signs to direct you.   Great quality dealers will be bringing in their wares – you never know what you will find !  In store specials as well.   Hope to see you there!

We are getting ready for our annual Funky Fall Flea Market on October 24.  Progress is slow but we are making some major changes inside and out.  We have the door closed to our secret room that is being redone for its great reveal on the 24th.    Excited?  Check us out!!

Summer Winds Down for 2009!

We had such a wonderful summer here at Petunia’s.  We made many new friends and got to catch up with our regulars.  Some big changes are being done at the shop – fabulous new pieces of furniture; unusual plantings for fall, and a nice redo inside the shop.  We are so excited to present our “fall look.”  It should be completed over the next few weeks.    We will celebrate with a fall open house weekend and host a seminar on fall planters with our beloved friend Tom Brandt.  Keep posted as the date and specifics.  Pictures to follow!!

Well, it was a crazy weekend!  The weather was perfect and so many folks came out to see our special deals in the alley.  You know we are all about one-of-a-kinds!!

My friend Krissy had her hot dog cart rolling and the visitors were in such good spirits.  We wheeled and dealed!!  Betty is getting ready for a road trip this weekend so expect some great new finds appearing at Petunia’s in the next week.  Happy Crazy Days 2009!!

This is a brand new candle line being introduced here at Petunia’s.  Kathy Kuhl is the creator of this wonderful new line of pet candles.  There are ones specific to dogs, cats and horses.

The line, Maggie’s Light, is named after Kathy’s first dog.

Each candle is hand poured with EcoSoya Natural Wax with a burn time of about 30 hours.  $1 is donated for every candle sold goes toward Homeward Bound – an organization committed to finding homes for stray and abandoned pets.  Each tag has a different saying – you are sure to find one perfect for you!  Prices range from a short size at $29.95 to a taller version of $34.95.  Kathy also accomodates custom orders and memorial candles.  Stop into Petunia’s soon to see them!!
